Bacteria pour into wound and macrophages engulf invaders. Macrophages then display identity markers and present this chemical message to helper T-cells. The T-cells multiply and their progeny release chemokines calling in more defenders, while antibodies clump the bacteria for macrophages. For Prevention magazine.
