Hydrofiber dressing composed of hydrocolloid fibers (sodium carbo-methylcellulose from seaweed) for the management of exuding wounds. Conformable and highly absorbable, it absorbs wound fluid and creates a soft gel which maintains a moist environment and aids in autolytic debridement. It is superior to gauze dressings which adhere to wound and disrupt granulation healing when removed.
